locally grown CSA share

What is a CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture is a connection between a local farmer and the people who eat the food they produce. By joining a CSA, you commit to supporting a local farmer for a season. In return, you receive fresh, seasonal produce— and share in the inherent risks and the bountiful benefits of farming.

CSAs provide an alternative to our current system of agriculture. We’ve all purchased vegetables from the piles of  produce at the grocery store. But do we know where that food comes from? It is usually impossible to answer specific questions about those vegetables, or to trace their journey to your table. CSAs reconnect you with your food—providing a tangible link to local farmers, the current season, and the land where the food was grown.

Why Join the CSA?

Joining a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is not just a choice; it's a commitment to nurturing our planet and supporting local communities. At Flagstaff CSA, we believe in fostering a sustainable connection between people and the earth. By joining our CSA, you become part of a community that values locally-grown produce. It's a chance to take a stand for regenerative agriculture, reducing carbon footprints, and celebrating the flavors of the season.

Rosebird Farms helps to manage our CSA program. When you click to sign up you will be redirected to their Local Food Marketplace website.

You will be prompted to create an account with your email address. Please make sure to select the "Flagstaff" subperiod and Flagstaff location. We offer both home delivery (for a fee) and in store pick up (free).

If you need assistance or prefer to have us register you please don't hesitate to reach out by phone or email.

CSA Model Updates for 2024

We are excited to announce some updates to our CSA model for the 2024 season! You'll still get to enjoy the same amazing produce from the farmers you know and love but will also get a bit more flexibility.

These style shares will begin February 2024.

  • Up front payment is appreciated but not required. We will be adding a week by week payment option. This will automatically charge your card for each delivery the morning of pick up.

  • If you would like to make a pre-payment you can do so by dropping off or mailing a check to 116 W Cottage Ave, Flagstaff AZ 86001. Once payment is received it will be applied to your online account and we will pull from that before charging your card on file.

  • Due to government restrictions with our online selling permit SNAP customers will not be able to sign up for a subscription but can purchase a one time box in the storefront. They will also be able to order a la carte.

  • Base boxes will still include 7-9 items, however, you will be able to customize your box and make swaps directly on our website giving you a bit more control over your menu.

  • Need more than the base box? You can now shop online from our entire availability list to reserve your produce and local groceries ahead of time. We will have them packed and ready to go at pick up.
